TSA tournament – well done!

Deborah West, Estelle Eltham, Sophie Raine, Elena Houghton, Daisy Johnson, Tyla Nawrattel, Oliver Conteras, William Houghton and Elliott Owen competed at the TSA Invitational Tournament in Kent. There were some exceptional performances from the youngsters, both in traditional patterns and point-stop sparring. Deborah showed little sign of nerves in her first tournament and put on an outstanding display to win gold in the junior grade patterns category. Oliver fought his way to gold in his junior grade sparring category. There were battling performances from Estelle and Daisy in their respective senior grade sparring categories, with both girls taking home silver medals. Well done everyone!

GTI British Open Championship

Congratulations to all who competed in the GTI British Open Championship; Estelle Eltham, Daisy Johnson, Sophie Raine, Ollie Verrian, Will Houghton, Ryan Millane & Jacob Stoneman. Bronze medals for Ryan Millane & Ollie Verrian in point-stop sparring. A silver medal for Jacob Stoneman in continuous sparring.

Black belt for Anish

We are pleased to announce that Anish Rai passed his black belt grading and is promoted to first dan. Well done sir!

More medal success; GTI National & TSA Invitational

Congratulations to Max Todd, winner of the bronze medal in blue belt cadet patterns at the GTI National Open. Max also won gold in patterns at the TSA Invitational Tournament. Bella Riley & Ollie Verrian both won silver medals in sparring at the TSA.

PUMA British Championships – five more medals

Well done to Sophie Raine, Bella Riley, Daisy Johnson, Josh Watson, Anish Rai, Ollie Verrian, Josh Riley, Max Todd, Will Houghton & Jacob Stoneman who all put in a superb effort at the PUMA British Championships. The medal winners were;  Anish Rai – gold in sparring,  Bella Riley – silver in sparring & bronze in patterns, Daisy Johnson – bronze in patterns, Ollie Verrian – bronze in patterns.

GTI English Championships – more medal success

Well done to the 12 students who represented Farnham School of Tae Kwon Do; Sophie Raine, Ellie Houghton, Bella Riley, Daisy Johnson, Amber Wilson, Josh Watson, Anish Rai, Ollie Verrian, Josh Riley, Max Todd, Will Houghton and Archie Riley. We won a total of six medals; Amber Wilson – gold – cadet girls blue & red belt sparring,  Archie Riley – silver – junior boys blue & red belt sparring,  Bella Riley – bronze – junior girls blue & red belt sparring,  Max Todd – silver – junior boys blue belt patterns,  Will Houghton – bronze – junior boys blue belt patterns,  Daisy Johnson – bronze – junior girls blue belt patterns.

GTI British Open Championship – eight medals for Farnham

Congratulations to our squad of ten students who competed at the GTI British Championship on 23rd November. Daisy Johnson won two bronze medals in patterns and sparring, Bella Riley and Charlie Dorkins also won a bronze each in sparring, Ollie Verrian and Sian Jones both won silver in sparring and we have two new GTI British Champions; Archie Riley with a gold in boys middleweight continuous sparring, Evie Ayres-Townshend with a gold in under-18 girls black belt patterns.
